Embodied Leadership

One of Susannah’s new workshops is called 'Embodied Leadership and Co-Creation' and deserves an article by itself. The one in London has just been and the next one in Copenhagen is following soon. Here is some inspiring and beautiful feedback and reflections from participants of the past workshop in London and a few words from Susannah about the dawning of ‘Embodied Leadership’. It sounds like an absolutely wonderful workshop and experience that has been woven together by Susannah, Movement Medicine and the participants.

Susannah DK: "I want to thank and acknowledge Hilde Van Gool and Liesbeth Van Rompaey for asking me to do this workshop in the first place (Embodied Leadership). You supported me in developing my awareness of the importance of this field and what I have to offer in it. Thank you! Bowing once again to the power of co-creation and support, and how we can help each other bring out what is in us. This is one of the meanings of: “the light of our attention is what helps each other grow”. Thank you both!”

Marion Gibbon: “The Embodied Leadership workshop exceeded my expectations and was extremely timely for this time in my life. One of the high points for me was the focus on support as being crucial to embodied leadership. It led me to a definition: "The embodied leader is one that is able to hold a sacred space that is safe, recognises the divine in each of us and enables it to shine forth in service to all life on this wonderful earth". I was able to have some wonderful dances and equally amazing conversations that will lead to a greater sense of community and future networking opportunities based on the theme of this workshop."

Christina Masterman: “One of the most enriching workshops I have ever attended. The deep knowing that we are all leaders is in itself of vital importance. Particularly for those of us dreamers prone to question for too long what our actual offering is. Embodied Leadership took things to a whole new level of understanding.

Synchronicity is truly a wonderful thing. The weekend unfolded like a fine tapestry. Each dancer contributing their gift to the whole. The balance of verbal exchange and movement felt perfectly aligned. Our bodies becoming fluid, finely tuned instruments for words and sound to come through and be expressed.

Deep listening is not an easy thing in our emerging, ever evolving multiverse planet. Neither is partnership in a world that is rushing within and around us. What became obvious for me is that both are needed now. More strongly than ever before. I feel deeply nurtured, nourished and increasingly hopeful after this workshop that all is possible. Ask and you shall receive."

The next Embodied Leadership Workshop will be in March in Copenhagen.

22–24 March: Embodied Leadership and Co-Creation with Susannah. Copenhagen, Denmark.
What a great combination – Leadership training through the playful and embodied work of Movement Medicine! This workshop offers a safe and very well guided space to explore various facets and qualities that leadership and co-creation requires, such as congruence, presence, clarity, self-trust and the ability to guide and support creative team-work. Owning personal authority, together with the skill to co-create, makes great leaders and enriches our personal life. Come along to dance, to play, to co-create and to remember that everyone is a leader.
