Partner Update_

Over the last quarter, we’ve continued to analyse adviser engagement trends across our community and how these align with on-platform flows and wider market sentiment. The latest Adviser Engagement Report (Apr–Sep 2025) brings together Panacea’s real adviser engagement data, Finscape IA sector flows, and broader market context. It’s designed to help our partners align messaging, targeting and campaign planning with what advisers are actually reading, researching and responding to.

As always, if it would be helpful, we would be happy to walk through what these trends mean specifically for your 2026 adviser engagement plans.

In October, Derek joined IFA Magazine to discuss our recent paraplanner research and the case for greater formal recognition. Listen here.

He also featured on the FT Adviser podcast to explore what the introduction of a FOS longstop could mean for adviser complaint exposure. Listen here.

As we head towards the end of the year, thank you for your continued support throughout 2025. It has been a challenging and uncertain period for many across the sector, shaped by global political change and ongoing economic adjustment. The trust you place in us to support your adviser engagement efforts is greatly valued, and we remain committed to delivering clarity, consistency and practical value as we move into 2026.

Chris’s Take on Investment Trends

In the space of just a week, we’ve seen several global shifts that are already shaping adviser conversations and client behaviour.

Reports of a sharp rise in clients taking tax-free lump sums ahead of the Budget reflect concern that pension tax advantages may be reviewed. Even without confirmed policy changes, the possibility is prompting advisers to focus more on forward planning and reassurance.

At the same time, equity market volatility - particularly around AI-linked valuations - has brought the sustainability of growth allocations back into view. Political signalling in the US and movement in the UK gilt curve are re-introducing diversification and duration into discussions. And while expectations of earlier rate cuts are rising, the Bank of England’s steady tone this morning suggests any shift will be gradual rather than sudden.

In this fast-moving environment, advisers are gravitating toward messages that are balanced, measured and grounded in real decision-making across portfolios, retirement plans and product selection.

There is clear demand for content that helps advisers turn these signals into practical, client-ready conversations, offering guidance on possible scenarios, rather than definitive forecasts. That type of framing is likely to drive stronger engagement over the coming weeks.
