Lunch and Learn Sessions

Northumbria Primary Care is pleased to invite colleagues from GP practices across the region to join a series of free virtual Lunch and Learn sessions, delivered by expert speakers on topics relevant to primary care.

These one-hour educational sessions provide practical insights, up-to-date guidance and opportunities for shared learning across the region. 

 Supporting the Armed Forces community in primary care, with John Linegar - 2 September, 12.30pm to 1.30pm 

  • Learn how to identify, record, and support members of the Armed Forces community, helping to ensure that veterans, serving personnel, and their families receive appropriate care and recognition within primary care services. 

Personalised care in group consultations, with Professor Fraser Birrell and Dr Emily Symington - 17 September, 1pm to 2pm 

  • Discover how group consultations can improve patient access and deliver benefits for patients and practices. The session will explore how patients can be supported to access this model of care. 

Eating disorders in primary care, with Dr Barry Tse - 14 October, 1pm to 2pm 
  • Gain an overview of eating disorder management in primary care, including Dr Tse's specialist role and key learning around Medical Emergencies in Eating Disorders (MEED).
